Falling in love with Pixi

Collection of new Pixi Beauty products - Colour Me Copper

It’s no secret that Pixi Glow Tonic is one of the world’s greatest skincare inventions (I raved about it a lot earlier this year – read here). I don’t know a beauty or skincare addict that doesn’t love this wonder-product and it’s become somewhat of an icon in the beauty blogging world.

Until recently, I’d never really thought beyond the tonic when it comes to Pixi Beauty, and because I’m a creature of habit, I rarely stray when I’ve found a product I love. I’ve always been very loyal to my makeup and skincare collection and don’t often add new things to the repertoire. Until recently, when some new Pixi discoveries totally changed the game.

I managed to get my hands on a few additional bits to try and it’s safe to say, I’ve fallen in love.

Pixi H20 Skindrink Never did I think a simple thing like a new moisturiser could bring such joy into my life; hey, maybe I’m a little shallow but one thing I’m sure of is this H2O Skindrink is hands down the best skincare product I’ve discovered in a very long time. It’s lightweight, serum consistency sits beautifully on the skin and leaves your face feeling and looking more hydrated instantly. The great news – you only need a teeny tiny amount when you apply, making the price tag that little bit more bearable.

Pixi Illuminating Tint & Conceal I doubt I’m the only one who, at this time of year, need a little extra coverage to conceal those dark circles and brighten that Autumn skin. I’m a big fan of tinted moisturisers, especially for those ‘CBA’ days when you just want to give your skin a breather. I picked up this multitasking product in the shade Bare Glow No 2, the perfect match to my skin, and absolutely adore it. It combines an easy-to-blend concealer on one end, that’s quite thick in consistency, with a lightweight moisturiser hiding beneath the cap that’s perfect under the eyes and across the cheekbones for a quick sweep of colour and highlight. This won’t replace my beloved L’Oreal Paris concealer but it sure is a contender.

Pixi Mesmerising Mineral Palette The second I saw this eyeshadow palette, I knew it had to be mine; with a name like Copper Peach, how could it not be?! I’ve always been shy when it comes to eyeshadow; I’m just rubbish at applying it and when I do, I always feel over-the-top. But this palette was too dreamy to ignore. Highly pigmented and with the perfect shades for this time of year, I absolutely adore these shadows…now I just need to master the art of applying them!

Pixi LipLift Max Don’t be put off by the name; this lip gloss is seriously divine and definitely won’t give you a trout pout. I went for the clear ‘Petal Ice’ but I’m definitely going to be adding the other shades to my Christmas list. If you’re a fan of plumping lip products, this one is for you: not sticky, wonderfully tingly and makes you lips look and feel just a little more prominent.

Pixi Correction Concentrate Yet another concealing product to add to my collection, this time one that’s slightly more hardy. This Correction Concentrate has quite a thick consistency so might not be loved by all, but it works wonders for me. I just pop some of this under my eyes each morning before applying makeup and you’d never know I was secretly dreaming of crawling back into bed.
