Those that know me well, know that I’m a complete chocoholic. So when it comes to baking, I rarely make anything that doesn’t have a hint of the good stuff. These white chocolate chunk brownies are perhaps the most indulgent treat; stuffed with gooey white choc chips and packed with milk and dark chocolate. The ultimate chocolate brownies.
what you’ll need
- 65g plain flour
- 100g good quality cocoa powder
- 250g caster sugar
- 150g unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 200g bar of Dairy Milk chocolate
- 1 120g bar of Milkybar
- Bag of large Milkybar buttons
first things first…
- Grease and line a square baking tin that’s 20cm wide
- Preheat your oven to 180oc
Melt the butter over a low heat and be careful not to boil. Once melted, transfer to a large mixing bowl and mix in the sugar
Once mixed, add the cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Use a wooden spoon to carefully mix everything together, then add the eggs, one at a time. It should look nice and gooey.
Next, break the Dairy Milk into chunks and melt – either in the microwave or in a bowl over steam on the hob. Once melted, add to the mixture (and lick the bowl).
Pour in the flour, salt and baking powder and mix well – the mixture will become quite stodgy but this is good! Finally, chop up the Milkybar and add to the bowl along with the buttons. Try to distribute as evenly as possible. If you have a few buttons left over, pop on top of the brownie mix.
Spoon into the tin and pop in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. Be sure to not overdo the brownies – you want them gooey and stodgy in the middle for that ultimate brownie taste.
Leave to cool completely before taking out of the tin and cutting in squares. And voila! The ultimate chocolate brownies.
